Scientist Move A Step Closer To Treating Genetic Obesity

University of Florida researchers have found that mutation causes receptors to miss signals from molecules that tell a person when to eat and when not to eat . Genetic obesity accounts for 6% of obesity in children and adults. Genetic obesity has long been associated with mutation in melanocortin-4 receptor, a gene found in brain cells that regulate hunger. This finding will help scientist to move a step closer to solving this problem. read more
